What is the Hybrid Athlete Knees Over Toes Bundle?

How do I use the Tib Bar?

  1. To start, sit on a bench or box with your feet hanging off the edge. 
  2. Put the Tib Bar on your feet and secure your feet between the crossbars. 
  3. Then, lift the Tib Bar by flexing your feet upwards (plantar flexion). 
  4. Hold for a few seconds before gradually lowering the Tib Bar back to the starting position. 
  5. Do this movement for 8-15 reps and try to complete 2-3 sets.

2. The Nordic curl strap - portable Nordic curl trainer

The next part of the Knees Over Toes Bundle is the Nordic curl strap. As the name suggests, its main purpose is to help you with, well, Nordic curls. Truth be told, the Nordic curl is a difficult exercise, and it requires a certain level of athleticism. How do I use the Nordic curl strap?

  1. Find a door that has clearance in front of it and open it slightly 
  2. Leading with the anchor, lodge the strap underneath the door and close it, leaving the anchor on the outside 
  3. On the inside, kneel with the bottom of your feet facing the door (use the provided knee mat to cushion your knees)
  4. Secure your feet underneath the padded bar 
  5. You’re ready to descend into a Nordic curl 

3. Slant Board - Knees-over-toes multi-tool for mobility work and stretching

Finally, the last part of the Knees Over Toes Bundle is the Hybrid Athlete Slant Board. Arguably, this is the most versatile piece of KOT exercise equipment. It’s ideal for Patrick, Poliquin, and Petersen step-up progression. You can also use it to stretch your calves to full ROM. How do I use the slant board?

There are many ways to use a slant board (hence the versatility title). Here’s how to use the slant board for tib raises:

  1. Set the slant board against a sturdy wall 
  2. Stand on the board shoulder-width apart, with your heels elevated  
  3. While resting your behind against the wall, squeeze your tibialis by trying to point your toes toward the ceiling 
  4. Hold the squeeze for a few moments and release

* To increase the challenge, stand higher on the slant board
